The ESLI Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is comprised of students from all five participating ESLI schools. In partnership with ESLI adult staff, the Youth Advisory Board plans community events throughout the school year, while gaining leadership and environmental service skills.
In addition to the Youth Unity Challenge at the SF Green Festival, the 2009-2010 Youth Advisory Board will plan ESLI’s annual Teachers Conference, the summer Outdoor Camping Trip and our biggest event: the 2010 SF Eco-Fest! The SF Eco-Fest is a city-wide youth festival of music, art, project showcases and workshops – highlighting and promoting green issues in ways that actually relate to our youth generation. Additionally, the YAB will be hosting a community report back by participating youth at the Copenhagen climate negotiations.
Our 2009-2010 Youth Advisory Board has been selected, however the YAB is often looking for volunteers for school and city-wide events.
