Featuring hip hop performances, DJ’s, live graffiti art, a resource fair, vendors, the ESLI student project showcase and more!
The ESLI Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is comprised of students from all seven participating ESLI schools. In partnership with ESLI adult staff, the Youth Advisory Board plans community events throughout the school year, while gaining leadership and environmental service skills. In addition to the Youth Unity Challenge at the SF Green Festival, the 2009-2010 Youth Advisory Board will plan ESLI’s annual Teachers Conference, the summer Outdoor Trip and our biggest event: the 2010 SF Eco-Fest! The SF Eco-Fest is a city-wide youth festival of music, art, project showcases and workshops – highlighting and promoting green issues in ways that actually relate to our youth generation. Additionally, the YAB will be hosting a community report back by participating youth at side events and meetings surrounding climate negotiations in Copenhagen.
