ESLI believes in the full capacity of students to take the lead in transforming our world into a peaceful, loving and sustainable home. To do this however we must ensure students have abundant opportunities to exercise their leadership and creativity in a safe, yet challenging space. One powerful way ESLI facilitates this process is by utilizing culturally relevant curriculum that honors student choice.
Towards this end, ESLI prioritizes the following methods:- Re-indigenization of sustainable practices by learning from our histories
- Student leadership through sharing power and student initiated projects
- Musical and artistic expression of our connection to nature and the problems we face.
